It brought together key stakeholders and partners in the disability space, as well as representatives from the Presidency, House of Representatives, and other Federal Ministries.

Highlights of the summit include:

– Inauguration of the National Forum of Disability Commission and Agency (NAFDCA) by the Honorable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu.

– Panel sessions discussing barriers to an inclusive Nigeria and practical solutions.

– A breakout session to develop a National Action Plan for implementing Nigeria’s 2025 Global Disability Summit commitments.

We had the opportunity as YieldUp Development Initiative through Emmanuel Abu to support network with other organisations , share the work we do targeted towards children and young persons with disabilities and proffer support to the high-level conversation to improve inclusive development for sustainable future for persons with disabilities.

It was truly an inspiring experience and a strong reminder that inclusion is everyone’s responsibility.
