YieldUp Development Initiative, in partnership with NYSC Personal CDS and HANDS - Health & Development Support Programme, carried out Project HealthAid to address Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), particularly parasitic worm infections, in New Kuchingoro IDP Camp.
This initiative focused on educating children in the Nos Ven En Partage Sharing prosperity School on proper hygiene practices to prevent infections, disability adjusted life years (DALYs) and improve overall well-being.
A mass deworming exercise was conducted to help combat parasitic infections, ensuring better nutrition and health for the Students.
In addition to health education, hygiene materials were distributed to encourage cleanliness, and sanitary pads were provided to adolescent girls, promoting menstrual health and dignity.
Through advocacy, healthcare support, and education, this project is making a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals. Together, we are taking important steps toward a healthier and more informed society.
